Switch podcast apps without losing anything
You move from one app to another (Overcast to Pocket Casts, Apple Podcasts to AntennaPod). Export your OPML from the old app, drop it into Pile. All your subscriptions are there and new episodes keep arriving without manual resubscription.
Read your podcasts instead of listening
You do not always have 45 minutes to listen. Pile summarizes each new episode as soon as it publishes. You read the key points in two minutes and queue the full episode only if it earns your full attention.

If something breaks
My OPML does not import correctly
Check that the file is valid OPML (extension .opml or .xml, <outline> tags with an xmlUrl attribute). Some apps export a malformed file: if the problem persists, open the file in a text editor and verify that feed URLs are present on each outline element.
New episodes are not arriving after import
This connector is still being wired: ingest is not yet active in production. Sign up to be notified the moment it opens. Your OPML is imported but feed monitoring starts at connector activation.
Transcripts are missing for most episodes
Few podcasts publish transcripts in their RSS feed yet. When they are absent, Pile summarizes from the description and chapters. Podcasts that adopt the Podcasting 2.0 standard (podcast:transcript tag) are the best covered.
