If something breaks
Pile cannot find my instance
Check that the address you entered in Connect is correct (example: mastodon.social, fosstodon.org). Pile accepts any ActivityPub-compatible instance. If your instance uses a non-standard port, include it in the address.
Some of my favorites are not coming through
Toots deleted by their author after you favorited them can no longer be fetched. Pile keeps a copy of the text it retrieved at ingest time for toots already processed.
Authorization fails on my instance
Some instances enforce strict OAuth restrictions. If authorization fails, try from a desktop browser (not mobile) and make sure you are logged in to your account on that instance before starting the authorization from Pile.
